Mark's Story
Life After Tennent: I went to Holy Family College and graduated with a degree in modern foreign languages. I met my future wife through our mutual interest in French, and were married on 23 May 1981. We have been blessed so far with 4 children: Elizabeth (b. 20 June 1986), Timothy (b. 26 May 1988), Emily (b. 3 September 1992) and Alexander (b. 25 July 1998). The beauty of our community became most apparent to us in November 2000, when our little Emily died suddenly at the tender age of 8 from an undiagnosed brain tumor. Our church (Our Lady of Goood Counsel) and neighborhood have been very supportive of our family as we work through this difficult time, and we thank God for the gift of so many caring friends.
We'd appreciate hearing from anyone else who has lost a child and could offer insights into their grief process.
