MARK's Story
I became a medical anthropologist working in global health after receiving a BA from GWU, Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh, an MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and a postdoc in cultural psychiatry at the University of Hawaii. It's been a wild ride. I am lucky to be doing what I love and given the nature of the work glad to be still alive.
I am with the same wonderful partner I met at GW in 1966 and have two boys --one a political scientist now a professor at UC San Diego and the other a clinical psychologist.
