Following graduation from RHS in 1984 I earned undergraduate degrees in Art & Theatre along with minors in Art History & Religious Studies attending both the University of Maine and Southern CT State University. Throughout those studies and beyond I earned a living in Banking for a total of 12 years - too long! An unexpected brief stint in the marketing world led to my non-clinical employment in the mental health arena for the next 7 years developing & managing marketing, grants, PR, crisis intervention and a clinical conference program serving central Maine. Yeah, I happily moved to Maine in 1992. However, 2005 proved to be the pivotal point for me ~ I quit working in the corporate arena and began working full-time as an artist!
Professional: I paint abstracts & realistic landscapes in oil, watercolor & other media while serving as Master Scenic Artist/Asst. Designer for Penobscot Theatre (PTC). Interest in my work grows & developing commissions & theatre work. In 2007 I began showing my work within 11 exhibitions in Quebec City, Canada and Maine in Bangor, Portland, Lewiston & Madawaska. I also painted a 23 ft. sq. backdrop for Peter Pan based on my painting, Prev...Expand for more
enance, for PTC. The showing continues throughout Maine, and in Cleveland, OH, with invitations to show in New York City, London, Berlin & Australia. My creativity merges my core spirituality within expressionist painting. It's about emotional engagement ¿ often evoking archetypes. I continue my study of materials, methods, practice and historical perspective, while discovering & exploring paint and other materials. Contact me for my professional website.
Personal: I'm a single, gay man in my 40's that is friendly, spiritual, genuine, compassionate, adventurous, honest, genuine, artistic, and direct. I enjoy sharing time with similarly-minded folks exploring ~ laughs, walks, film, board games, museums & galleries, travel, cards, gaming/RPGs, queercamp, cooking, good food, chocolate, wine (even making my own), reading, compassion, art, theatre, enjoying flowers and the ocean with family & friends move me. Eyes, smiles, touch, passion, conversation, & spirituality captivate me.
I'm incredibly happy & thoroughly loving life!
Ponder this: "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey; rather we are spiritual beings on a human journey" - Pierre Teillhard de Chardin
May the universe in all its splendor enfold you in its mystery & light.
~Namaste~
