Mark's Story
Life
Born and raised in Jefferson County GA via Wrens, GA. Moved to Augusta when I was 8. Joined the Army reserve in 1984, and graduated from T.W. Josey High in 1985. Enrolled at Morehouse College in Atlanta, graduating in 1991. Worked in mass communications field, including public relations, television and journalism cumulatively for 30 years. . Simultaneously working a career in the film industry, having appeared in shows & television commercials as Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse, House of Payne, TV One’s Fatal Attraction, Greenleaf, Dodge Ram Truck commercial on ESPN (2021 & 2022) & 2015 Taxslayer.com commercial also on ESPN., Among my current active associations is Omega Psi Phi fraternity INC & Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Riverdale, GA. Currently living in the Atlanta area.
School

nd Varsity Football, ran track a year, was in National Jr. Honor Society under Ms. Hurt, ran track a year. Came out in '85, left for Ft. Dix a couple of days later to finish my Reserve training, then went to Morehouse College. Sat out a year in 89 (went to Augusta College - now Augusta State U), went back to the House, finished in 91 with a degree in mass communications.
Military
Joined the US Army Reserve in 1984. Engaged in Basic Training at Ft. Sill Oklahoma during the summer of 1984 at Bravo Battery, 4th Batallion. Completed my Advanced training at Ft. Dix, NJ at Bravo Co., 2nd Batallion, 5th training brigade the following summer after finishing high school. First unit - 319th Transportation company from 1984 through 1988, last unit- HHC 335th Signal Command in East Point, GA. Participated in the NCO Academy summer 1988 in Ft. Benning, NJ.
