After deciding that I didn't want to spend my life "packing and unpacking, town to town, up and down the dial" in 1990, I essentially said goodbye to radio, dropped anchor in Enid, and pursued a career in marketing. With that being said, between live remotes for KNID (107.1 FM) and KXLS (95.7 FM) and shows with Dance Party Mobile Music Systems, I still get my fair share of fun where the DJ business is concerned... when work is *fun*, it's truly not work, is it?! Do I miss OKC (KJ-103 FM), the Rio Grande Valley of Texas (...Expand for more
K-Lite 94 1/2 FM) and Kansas City (Power 95)? You bet! Do I miss living and dying by a ratings book? No way!!!
I own a company that provides services to schools and school organizations in providing creative solutions to their fund raising quandaries in the face of budget cuts and economic challenges. (Member of AFRDS...cool!)
I get to be a dad to my 18 year old son (DeezyLife...check him out on youtube). We spend time together often and enjoy working on his pursuits involving music (he plays trumpet with Oklahoma State University Cowboy Marching Band) and business. He is very cool, just like his dad (OK, *much* cooler than his dad was at that age!!!!). My daughter ("Megster") is married (that would be to "GI Joe") and lives in Little Rock and is the proud mommy of my (oh my!) grandkiddos (aka "PacMan" and "E-Bay"). Yes, my gray hair is now warranted".
