Mark's Story
I've been very fortunate. Like everyone else, I have had a few ups and downs, but overall it's been a great ride. I have kept a permanent residence in the Dallas / Fort Worth area since my second year of college. I had started at Trinity University in 1968, but decided to specialize in a branch of Engineering that Trinity did not offer. So I completed my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at UT Arlington. While I have been able to keep a permanent address in the area, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and live for extended periods of time throughout the US, and internationally. In the process of doing that I was co-owner of a successful company for about 18 years. cial pecan farm outside of Comanche, Tx and own a small services firm in Austin with another one of our Class of '68 alums.
I have three children, my step-daughter, Heather King, who lives in Southlake with her husband and three teen agers; Evan Charles Snyder, who passed away in 1985; and my youngest son, Matthew, who is a Senior Mechanical Engineering Student at Oklahoma State University. My sister, Cathy, also a WTW grad ('70) lives in Oak Point (just outside of Denton).
My permanent home moved to the Prestonwood area in 1992 and I have been there since. Three years ago, I made the decision to quit traveling and went to work with a small, privately held local firm. Well, we became part of a large global company, so I am traveling again.
It is always a pleasure to hear from other WTW classmates and learn what they are up to, so ping me and tell me what you are up to.
