Mark's Story
Hello fellow St Jeromes grads. Its been a long time since I have been back in the old neighborhood, but I remember everything and everyone fondly. Here's what I've been doing since we graduated in 1971. I went to high school in Hudson Ohio at Western Reserve Academy. Next I went to Williams College in Massachusetts where, believe it or not, I played varsity football (I wasn't very good in my St Jerome's days -- a late bloomer I guess). After college I lived in Tokyo Japan where I worked for Bank of America and studied martial arts. In 1982 I returned to the US to go to the Harvard Business School. career as an investment banker in NYC and Tokyo for 24 years. Two years ago I left Goldman and moved to Washington DC to become the CEO of the Nature Conservancy -- the world's largest non-profit environmental organization. Please check out our webpage at nature.org. On the family front, I married Amy Stark in 1986. We have four great kids -- Alison (a junior at Dartmouth College), Margo (a freshman at Wesleyan College), Luke (14) and Rex (12) -- boys at home.
