Mark's Story
Life
I've earned a bachelor's degree in
Secondary Edcation (1974) and a
master's
degree (1976) in English literature
from
Texas A&I in Kingsville. I have
lived in Laredo a number of years. I
teach journalism and am sponsor of
the school newspaper and also
Communications Department head
at the Vidal M. Treviño Magnet High

School. I also work part-time as weekend news editor at
the
Laredo Morning Times and teach a class in journalism at Texas A&M International University. I have an
21-year-old daughter who graduated magna cum laude from the local community college and will attend Texas State University in fall 2008. I recently remarried, to a wonderful woman.
