know I wouldn't have gotten the Christian foundation that I have today. College My college days were interesting....I started out first in a trade school learning the art of being an aesthestician. I became licensed and worked in the field of make-up design for about three years when I decided to head to Point Loma Nazarene College due to a relationship breakup. I wanted to get away from a guy basically. Point Loma was an interesting experience. My major was Drama. Actually, because it was a Christian college you couldn't really have a drama major presay so I had a communications major with an emphasis in Drama. No one in the school seemed to like the Drama department. We were the outcast or the "non-christians". I decided at the time, that maybe pursuing a career in acting would mean I would have to compromise my christian beliefs so I decided to focus into Christian ministries. Well, to make a long story short, I overloaded myself and stressed myself out so much that I got very sick and had to cut my stay at Point Loma short. After a year, I came home, and never returned to San Diego. Instead, I got a full-time job and went to school part time at Coastline Community College. My college education ended in my junior year. I had my math coursed left and my upper degree course left to take before I would have a degree. Workplace My career began in 1986 when I started working for Stewart Woodard & Associates as a receptionist. I quickly began working with John Greer the Marketing Director learning the ropes in marketing and at the same time, taking marketing courses in college. I moved from SW&A to another architectural company as the marketing coordinator -- Architects Pacifica Ltd. I was with that company for two years. I learned alot through the marketing director, Linda Calannio and through the office manager Velda Williams. From there I moved on to being an account executive with a retail magazine focusing on companies in the industry. That was very short lived. The only good thing that came out of that was I got reacquainted with a business contact who became my husband. I did start my own marketing consultant business called Image Marketing. I had three or four clients that I did marketing for. I did this for about 5 years. I then worked for another company, Harris & Associates. I was a marketing coordinator for their Southern California office. I worked for them for three years. After working for them, I branched off again and started working for one of their employees as an independent contractor who went on their own and worked for him part time for seven years. During that time, I had the best of both worlds, a career and family and that is when my true love of acting really began.
