Marlene's Story
I graduated from O.U.'s School of Journalism August 6, 1967. I have very fond memories of the School of Journalism and my classmates. I spent a lot of happy days in the building during my four and a half years.
I have worked in four psychiatric hospitals in the State of Louisiana in a writing capacity. I was in charge of the legal statuses of the psychiatric patients and spent most of my time writing petitions for the patients who needed long term psychiatric care. I recently retired from the New Orleans Adolescent Hospital.

I have a nine and a half year old Basset Hound named MacKenzie. She acts more like a person than a dog!! When I bring her to the veterinarian, she loves to greet all of the people and dogs who enter the hospital!
On another front, I have been taking guitar lessons for five years. I remember the river bottom at O.U., and how much fun it was to go there! I wish I were into guitar playing then, as it would have been great to bring my guitar there and do some jamming!!
