Marlin's Story
Life
After graduation attended La Tech for 3 quarters then transferred to Northwestern for one semester. Joined the Navy in May 71 and went active duty in December 71. Bootcamp in Orlando then to Memphis for electronics training for one year. Met future wife while there. Ordered to Moffett Field, California (30 miles S of San Fran) for additional training then on to Naha, Okinawa in March of 73. Returned to Memphis to get married in August 73 then back to Okinawa. re in 83. Transferred to Memphis in 83 for 3 yrs. Transferred to Jacksonville, Fl in 86 and been here since. Retired from Navy Dec 31, 95 after 24 yrs. Went to school full time and did consulting for electronics firm until Dec 98 when hired at the post office as a letter carrier in small town just south of Jacksonville called Green Cove Springs. Am single now and starting life anew at the ripe age of 49. Get home to F'ville about once a year. Went to 30th reunion last year and had great time. Looking forward to next one.
