Marnie's Story
Life
My name was Marnie Mitchell and I was born and lived in Toronto before moving to Edmonton in August of 1961. I have a sister Kathy and a brother John.
My name is now Marnie Smith. My husband Gary and I were married in 1968. We are both retired now, although Gary continues to work part-time. We met as neighbours; dated all through high school; and were married a few years after I graduated.
Our first born daughter, Angela, has been married for several years now.She is terrifically hard working, creative and energetic; and she too (like her mother) met her husband in high school! She works in the law profession.
Our youngest daughter, Rhonda-Lee, still lives at home with us. She too is extremely hard working and is a very petite bundle of energy and determination. She is a manager in the retail profession.
Gary and I are so proud of both our children and their individual personalities and accomplishments.

My husband Gary has been my sweetheart from the day we first went out together in my junior highschool days. We continued to date through most of senior highschool and were married in 1968.
In addition to the two children (no grandchildren) we also enjoy the companionship of our two dogs; a huge Siberian Husky (Karlo lives outside all year) and a Sheltie (Sunny)who is my constant companion now. We adore both our dogs and count ourselves lucky to share our lives with them.
We have lived in Mill Woods (Edmonton) since 1976 and have been in our house since 1986.
I would love to hear from former classmates and friends; and hear what you are doing now.
I was unaware until recently that this site was here on-line. I am retired and at home now and am enjoying not working! Taking time to enjoy 'smelling the roses' as they say.
Hope to hear from friends and classmates from many years ago!
