Marsha's Story
Life
I am currently residing back in Indiana after a two-year hiatus in Florida (long story). I work for Clarian Health Partners - Methodist, IU, and Riley - in Indianapolis as the Director of the Medical Assisting program. I completed a master's certificate in 2007 at IU. Currently, I am in a Master's of Education program with an emphasis in Instructional Technology.
I am married to William David Paradysz of Massachusetts. We have been together since 1999. He works in buildling maintanence with Meridian Management Corporation. My two children, Matthew and Jessica Hickman are 31 and 26, respectively. Matt is married to Debra Miller and lives in Michigan with their daughters Makyla and Laneigh and their son, Donovan. Jessi lives in Paoli, IN with her husband Troy Denny and children, Shelby, Zach and Chelsea. I also have a 18-year-old step-daughter, Tara Paradysz.
At home, I have a menagerie of pets - two cats and 3 dogs. As they say, "If you want unconditional love, buy a dog."
School
I attended Clinton High School my freshman and sophomore years before my dad was transferred to Paoli,Indiana. I am often in the classroom, both as an instructor and as a student. In 1974-75 for my medical assisting program, 1987-1991 for a BS in HR management, from 1995-98 for a master's in liberal studies, and from 2006-2007 for a graduate certificate in Instructional Systems technology.

f Human Resources. When my son began college, I enrolled at I.U. in a master's program. I received a graduate certificate in Instructional Systems Technology at IU May 2007.
Along the way, I became certified as a career college instructor.
Workplace
In the mid-70s, I worked as a medical assistant before taking time off to raise a family. While I was raising my children, I worked in sales in order to mesh my schedule with theirs.
In the 80s, I began a career in non-profit first as an administrative assistant then program director. When the grant funds ran low, I entered the field of post-secondary education at Oakland City University working in Admissions.
In the 90s, nonprofit made me offers I couldn't refuse and I returned to first a program director position and then to an Executive Director position.
The late 90s directed my life to the state of Florida where I taught at City College in Gainesville and then worked for the Sarasota Ballet.
Friends and family persuaded me to return to Indiana in the fall of 99. I took an adjunct instructor position with Indiana Business College - Medical which soon advanced to full-time. I also worked in property management with Meridian Management Corporation.
In 2003, I moved to Clarian Health Partners as a core instructor. 2005 - moved to the Clarian Health Partners/Goodwill initiative, Career Connections as the Career Counselor. Still in Employee Development/Educational Services. December of 2006 - promoted to Director of the Medical Assisting Program at Clarian Health Partners.
