Martha's Story
Upon retirement,we traveled with our 25 foot Airstream trailer as snowbirds to Florida, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and then traveled about the United States in the warmer months. Then our children presented us with grand children which we have 5 now, oldest 2 are graduating from High School in 2010,and youngest is in 6th grade. We had in earlier years traveled with the Wally Byam Airstream Club (WBCCI)for get-to-gathers of food, fun, friendships and places to visit. We are still members but in 2006 made a big move of residence and change to the Tip of the Mitt of Michigan. Besides the winter snow, life is a slower pace here as we make new friends and have become part of the senior citizens generation. UPDATE: Us old folks are still living at bottom area of Burt Lake, in Tipp of Mitt, Michigan, slowed down a lot but still up and around with pickup truck. another on way about April 2019. Our three grow up children are all in their mid fifties with their spouses. And, we were to Ohio in September and seen the disappearance of our old schools, as they prepare for the new construction of the Rossford Schools. Time marches on! Spring 2020: Update, My Ron , unexpected one morning in November 2019, took his last trip alone this time, to the most beautiful place we could ever go, HEAVEN. He didn't need to pack, fuel up the truck or tow the Airstream, But knowing my police chief man, he is checking the place out and rekindling old friendships, joining his family members, all praising God. while I am also praising God yet here on earth. Life is really short.
Need to update, say I now have seven great grandchildren with two more God is still growing for delivery before end of 2023. I am still living up in Tipp of Mitt have daughter Kathy and son, Chris living near by. My oldest daughter, Debbie still lives in Rossford. Enjoyed a recent visit with a small handful of classmates for lunch in Maumee in June, we all know life is moving along so fast in our later years.
