Martha Carroll:  

Retired in 2002. Moved to Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina in 2004 after building new home on mountaintop to live with nature for awhile. In 2011 we moved back to Florida to enjoy the "resort life style" in a 55+ golf community with all the amenities. Time to kick back and really enjoy life to it's fullest! 2012 was our year to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We did a week in the caribbean on Celebrity's Solstice. Then we decided, along with our friends to go on another adventure together. So, we flew to Rome, Italy to a wonderful B&B for a few days in Rome. Then we headed to the cruise port for a 14 day transatlantic Mediterraean cruise on Celebrity's Equinox. We hit ports in Italy, France, Spain and Madiera, Portugal. In 2014 (February) I went on a week's cruise with about 100 women from our community. We are called the "Women Who Wine" and it's for anyone in our community to just get together & have a fun evening in our Grand Hall. In April 2014 our cruising friends myself & husband sailed on our second transatlantic cruise. This time we left from Ft. Lauderdale on Celebrity's Constellation. Sailing across the Atlantic then we hit new ports. The first port was Lisbon, Portugal, then onto LeHavre France, Dover, England, Bruges, Belgium and then Amsterdam, Netherlands. We stayed in Amsterdam for a few days then we flew back to the states. Booked our next adventure for April 2015. Of course, it's another transatlantic cruise! Leaving from Miami then 2 days in Bermuda, onto Ponta Delgada, Azores, Lisbon, Portugal, Bilbao, Spain, Le Havre, France and ends in Southampton, England. Then spend 2 nights in London before flying home. Three weeks of enjoying ourselves and visiting old & new places. Life has been good and I expect more to come before I am too old to enjoy the worlds wonders. Hopefully, you can say the same. Next trip is scheduled for Sept. 2015 and we're doing a Pacific Coastal cruise. San Francisco, Monterey, Ensenada, Mexico, San Diego, Catalina Island, Santa Barbara and back to San Francisco. Just a short 9 day cruise to celebrate my husband's birthday that week. Great birthday gift, don't you agree? End of January 2016 doing a "girls only" cruise again with the group here in our community. We now have 3 bus loads coming & we still have a few months before we leave. Wow, our group is really growing each year. October 2016 is next planned cruise (unless I see something in between that I can't pass up)! ha ha! Most of my friends know that's a big possibility with me! This cruise leaves from Port Liberty, NJ and it's a 14 day New England/Canada ...Expand for more
