Martha's Story
Life
I was widowed in 2002, when my husband, a retired Circuit Judge, died. My mother died of Alzheimer's in July of 2004, and my heart goes out to anyone who has ever lived through this insidious disease with a loved one.
I am the "Neeny" to my 4 grandchildren, who all live within 3 miles of me. My son, Les, is a retired police officer in Jacksonville, FL, and was a Bomb Tech on the city's Bomb Squad., a narcotics detective, and training officer. My daughter is an underwriter manager with a national insurance brokerage firm, and we all live very close t...Expand for more
o one another. I would very much enjoy hearing from former classmates. My 65th H.S. reunion is coming up in 2023...time flies, doesn't it?
I have a very special & close friend, but no more husbands for me! Been there, done that, TWICE, and widowhood is no fun., much less going through it two times. Don't get "Up North" much anymore, since my family is all here, but a reunion is a good reason. Have been in Florida for 39 years, and even with the hurricanes, would never want to live in the land of snow again; besides, I sold my snowblower a long time ago!
