Martha's Story
Hey there.
Since H.S., I started college studying accounting, but later realized that wasn't my calling. My work sent me to school to get a certificate in word processing (remember those days?)
In 1982, I moved to the San Francisco bay area, and worked as an executive assistant for about two years. During that time, I met my husband while I was on a date with someone else. As they say in the movies, he saw me from across the room and said to his friends that he was going to marry me. Since my date wasn't working out, I agreed to the dance. We were maried a year later. We now have four kids (Zack - 22, Carly - 20, Matt - 14 and Dominic - 13), plus four dogs and two cats. Obviously, we are animal love...Expand for more

We were separated for about two years, but realized that we made a mistake and are now again happily married. We have been married for 23 years (WOW! Where did the time go?)
We live in a small town just north of San Luis Obispo where we are considered to be the "new Napa" where we have wineries all around us just a bike ride away. It's a wonderful place to raise kids, not to mention the perks of having friends who own wineries. I have been designated the "party planner" for our friends where we plan at least four wine tours a year. Not a bad life, huh?
