Martha's Story
After MSU, I stayed around East Lansing for a couple of years, and then moved to Chicago (theoretically on my way to France!). I had been accepted by an international alternative social service organization to work in France with a 1 month training in Chicago. The organization is called Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly and is found in nine countries. I never moved to France. I have worked either as a paid employee or as a volunteer for that organization for 37 years! Currently, I am Executive Director in Boston, Ma.

ren: Sarah, graduated from Rhode Isalnd School of Design in architecture, speaks French, Italian fluently, lives near us in Boston, Ma. , and is mother to our three granchildren, Lily-Camille, Oisin, and Ulysses; Richard, graduated from UMass-Dartmouth in French, speaks French fluently, German and Italian passably, lives in NYC, and works for Phillip Glass, the composer; and Laura, graduated from University of the Pacific (on a soccer scholarship) in business, speaks French, and works for Ameriprise Financial Services.
I went back to MSU for the first time two years ago and had a wonderful lunch with Mary Jim Joseph and Paul and Barbara Hurrell.
