Martha's Story
Since graduating RM I've worked as a Business Service Rep. for C&P where I met my husband. We married in 1970.
I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in 1973.
I had a son in 1975 and I have enjoyed every moment of motherhood.
I painted Tole folk art pieces & sold to several shops in Mont. Cty & also in Occoquan,Virgina.
I re-entered the working world in 1990 as an office manager for a Dermatologist.
Health problems forced me to quit working and ended up in a wheelchair in 1997.

I am a 12 year Breast Cancer survivor.
I enjoy crocheting, beading and belong to a bookclub.
My husband of 43 years, died suddenly 8/23/2013 of a massive heart attack.
07/09/2014: Here it is almost a year and I have realized my life did not end, it just drastically changed!
Thank God for all the family and friends that have rallied around me to show me how full my life still is.
I cherish my memories of the years we had together. Now, I must push ahead and make new memories of my own.
