Life I am the mother of one son, Alex, who is a musician here in New York. My mom and brother Andy are still living in Michigan, but I moved to NYC in 1978 to attend Columbia University Graduate School. I really fell in love with the multicultural neighborhood of Greenwich Village where I lived (among other places) until 1987. From 1989 to 2007 I was a teacher at Lawrence Woodmere Academy where I made many good friends and taught hundreds of terrific kids. I even met my "significant other" of 14 years at LWA. He was a guest speaker whom I invited to talk to my students about Constitutional Law as it applied to teenagers. I started working at LWA in order to cover my son's private school education, but stayed because of the wonderful people there. Eventually, my son graduated and most of my close friends either retired or moved on.
