Martin's Story

I don't really know why I am doing this story thing as my life couldn't possibly fit in this small space. Let's start with now. I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and spend some of my time in my house on Ambergris Caye, Belize and in Prague where I have some apartments (and a seriously younger girlfriend). Most of you at Huguenot won't remember but I had to leave for the last six weeks of my senior year because I had cut so many days of school that I couldn't graduate by Virginia law. I went to North Carolina and enrolled in Nakina Hight School (near my grandparents and where I spent my early years). Funnily enough a lot of my classmates there had been my classmates in first grade where my mother was actually the teacher. After graduation I spent one semester at Pembroke State College (not University of North Carolina - Pembroke) which was formerly a school for American Indians. After one semester which was interesting but not enjoyable I left and went into the US Air Force where I spent the next 11 years of my life. I married an English girl while in England but we were divorced after 7 years. We had no children. Later I married a girl from Louisville, Kentucky and she already had one child, a daughter and we had a son together. During this period I lived in Cin...Expand for more
cinnati, Kansas City, and later Florida. We divorced about 10 years ago and she continues to live in Boca Raton where my daughter also resides with her two boys. She is an R.N. at Boca Community Hospital. My son, works at the computer lab at the University of Florida in Gainesville. I have made and lost several small fortunes all related to medical services and most recently founded Global Medical Management, Inc (now GMMI) in 1992 and in sold it to a large French company in 2008. I spend most of my time now traveling, reading, fishing and playing golf. I have been on every continent including Antarctica and on most of them several times. I look back now and realize just how immature I was in high school and really for a long time after that but the world has a way of getting in your face and making you grow up. If you are one of those that I hurt somehow through my immaturity I'm sorry. I have very fond memories of high school and especially of one very pretty blond girl that somehow managed to put up with me for longer than expected. If you see me on here and remember me please drop me a note. Kind Regards, Martin I always wanted to be a millionaire when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a ridiculous idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.

It's a beautiful morning here at the farm. I thought all the green herons had left but at least one is still hanging around. This was taken hand held so the definition is not as sharp as would like. Still this is a wonderfu
