Martin John's Story

I graduated in June of 1969, and for a short while attended Bowling Green State University until UNCLE SAM sent me a notice "GREETINGS I WANT YOU" yes, the ever "DRAFT" notice came to my house in September 1970, but I had already enlisted in the Air Force, (seeing that my draft # was 3), so instead of walking into the jungles of VietNam, I flew into them. After the war ended, I got stationed in Sacramento, Ca. at Mcclellan Field, where I re-enlisted and stayed in the Air Force until May 1975. I stayed in Sacramento after the Military going to Sacramento State University to finish my Higher Education ( yea right), and in 1976 took the test and got hired by the State of California in Law Enforcement . In 1980 I got married and helped raise a lovely step-daughter (Cindy who is now 40 with 5 lovely children and two grandsons),( yea that makes me a Great GrandDad), and we had a son Martin John Snezek III, who is now 27 and works for the State of California with the Department of Corrections and has two beautiful children (Douglas Cole age 9, and Brooklyn Isabella age 5). In 1989 I got a divorce ...Expand for more
and shortly thereafter met my current and Most Lovely wife Annette who has a daughter (Ashlee Nicole Casparian), that I have the pleasure of being her step- father. Ashlee is 22 and curently attending Sacramento State University for Interior Design and Graphics, ( and works as a Designer for Home Depot as well). I have have been employed with the State of California for almost 31 years now, currently a California State Peace Officer, at the level of Senior Special Investigator. I possibly will retire within the next year or less. I will reach my maximum retirement rate (90%) with the State of California in June so I think its time to start looking for a new line of work, (Like sitting on the beach with a fishing pole, and throwing the Cell phone in the water). Hey maybe on the Beach in Vermilion!!!!!!!!!!! I still build old hot rods and motorcycles, can't take the grease out of my blood, love the sound of a Small block Chevy motor with glass packs. I hope all is well with everyone I grew up with and have met thoughout the years. Until we see each other again Take Care and God Bless Marty
