Life WOW !!! Where do I start ?? Originally from Knoxville, TN. Grew up on 3013 Walridge Rd. Remember those days of playing kick the can at night, playing touch football in the Hamptons large yard, playing hide and seek at the Hurst house. Started playing Little League Baseball when I was 7. Remembering the neighborhood gang, the Hurst girls, the Bates clan, Bill Connor, Mike Ritter, Neal Huffine, the Dews, the Smiths (both families Holice and Mark), and the Hamptons. We moved to Florida in 1974, I was 13 then. Had a tough time adjusting to the Florida environment.. missed home and friends :( . As time went on a new neighborhood crew replaced my childhood crew, Greg Fraley, Jeff and Nick Covelli, Richard and Jeff Anderson, and Richard and Roy Zayas. Touch football turned to tackle, .... when we weren't playing in the street. High School at Oviedo was a growing time for me, I didn't really feel I fit in at first. A lot of students grew up together from their childhood. Ah !! I got over it. I got involved with baseball again, wish I was as big then as I am now. Believe I could drive that ball further now. Anyway graduated in 1979 and went to work for a small laser company as a mechanical draftsman (drawing) and playing summer baseball. I was fortunate to be selected to play in the Big League World Seris in Ft Lauderdale. Played with Calvin Ward from high school. Finished 2nd in the World. Beat Taiwan, Canada, then got beat by some NY team. Nuff about that. I decided to quit work and start my college "career" in Jan 1980 at Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN. Walked on to the baseball team in 81 and "played" there for 2 years. Now there, I met friends that I still keep in close contact with today, Jeff Clark, John and Lelia Mcrae.
