Life I married my husband, Roger, in 1972. Several years later we built a solar heated home in a rural area not far from where we both grew up. We have a son who is married & a daughter in college. Over the years we have dabbled in farmlike activites--raising chickens, pigs, a goat, geese and honey bees. The only ones we now do are a few chickens & the bees, but we've always had a huge organic garden. I preserve & freeze alot of our food. I have won ribbons for my canning & a trophy for my pasta sauce. I love to cook--and to eat! We've taken some interesting vacations--the most unusual one to Iceland, which I highly recommend. I still love rock 'n roll--music got me through high school. Well, the kids are grown so who knows what comes next for us? Our daughter graduated college in May of 2007 and got married in September of that year, so last year was all about wedding planning. It went off w/o a hitch and we're very, very happy w/our new son, just as we were in 2002 when our son married & we gained a daughter. So I have an empty nest--now what?
