After marrying in 1956 I have five children. Four girls and one boy all raised in the 74 year old house on A St in Tacoma which we were constantly remodeling. One bathroom. Fun in the mornings! I have sold that house and am living in the condo I purchased in University Place, WA. A new condo or should I say a remodeled condo where everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. All is slowly being fixed and I am running around like a mad fool getting estimates on reupholstered furniture. It is approximately a mile from where I worked at the Green Firs Safeway for two years. Before that I was at, the no longer, Mildred Street store for two years. I left GF's for Proctor in 1980 and retired from there in November 1997 as a department head/checker to travel with my husband, who retired in '86, in one of our several RV's until his death in July 2013. I do miss the traveling and the camping. No phone except cells, no neighbors, no fast cars, no barking dogs or yard to keep up. Go when we wanted and where we wanted including every western state, Mariner Spring Training plus enjoying the sunshine and no rain for several more months, the mountains and the ocean. But most of all visiting the Hawaiian island of Kauai every three years. My kids think I am too old to go back alone so I am going this November with my three oldest daughters in 2016. We will be staying in the same condo my husband and I have stayed in for several years. Aloha! 201...Expand for more
