Mary's Story

Many, many changes for me in the last 6 months. My husband (Ralph) died in May. He was buried exactly 32 years from the day we first met. I sold my house in Minnesota the end of August. Packed myself up and moved to Idaho. I lived with my Dad until I could find a house. I actually purchased it on my birthday. So cool. So I am now in Caldwell Idaho. And living in town after living the last 21 years way out in the country. I am enjoying it so far. It is very nice not to have to go 30+ miles to do my grocery shopping. LOL
Anyway, it is time for a new chapter in my life. Sure hope it's a good one :)

I got married to John Ratcliff in December of 2018. We have sold the hay farm, and are looking for somewhere to move...yikes...lol. No more hay and no more cows. My da...Expand for more
d is in Fruitland living on his own...he was ninety in 2020...still drives and does his own yard work.
August 2021
We live in Parma Idaho on a small acreage with a gorgeous view. So much for no more cows...John raises 2 or 3 for the meat. And he bellyaches about buying hay for the first time in his life...lol. We do have a freezer full of excellent beef all of the time. He also keeps talking about getting another horse...ugh. My dad will be 96 in September of 2026 and still living on his own...and driving. He amazes me. My brother (Bill) lives in upstate New York...crazy man...lol. We hope to meet up in Auburn in late September to celebrate my niece's 50th birthday. She is a teacher in Rocklin, has Mount Vernon Mini Farm in Auburn...selling lots of good veggies and eggs.
