Mary's Story
When I was young, music and writing were my life. I still love those two things, but have broadened my interests considerably since then.
After high school, I worked for a year; went to junior college; toured Europe; went to San Jose State University and San Jose Bible College. I married a dear man with a great sense of humor, a storyteller who is a wonderful preacher. We have one son who has put himself through college, earned two degrees and is now a geologist working for an oil company. He is in charge of 22 wells that he was responsible for researching to find out where to drill - they all came in! He is also a very dedicated and faithful youth leader in his church.

r, I write grant proposals to corporations and foundations. My job is very fulfilling, full of variety, and gives me the satisfaction of seeing people's lives changed for the better as our clients gain new skills and the self-esteem and dignity that come with getting a job and being able to support themselves and their families.
Music is still a part of my life, as I am a leader in our church's worship team and also direct the music in our chapel service at work.
I enjoy crafting and make and sell jewelry. I also love gardening, reading good books, visiting with friends, and camping in God's great outdoors.
Back in high school, I was an angry, moody person and somewhat of a loner. God's love and Jesus' forgiveness has changed my life. He has taken my anger and given me joy and peace.
Life is good, I am content and blest.
