Mary's Story
Life
All I can say is "retirement rocks". I've been retired since 2004 and lovin every minute of it.
After graduation, went to work as a legal secretary for the IRS. then spent 3 yrs at Ford's as a legal secretary. Got married to a guy from Southgate and have 3 great kids....Jeff, Ed, and Michaelene. Went to work again at General Motors for 20 yrs after my kids got in school. Made it to the top as an executive secretary for the General Mgr. of Chevrolet and then the General Mgr. of Cadillac.
My hubby is a great guy. Been married 34 yrs.
My kids are Jeff 39 (gonna be 40 in Jan.); he's engaged and getting married next fall and has 2 boys Jeff, Jr. and Jon and they live in Southgate. He's an electrician, coaches babsketball in his spare time and loves being active ...Expand for more
with his boys. Middle son is Ed, heavy equipment operator with 3 great kids. My daughter is an ICU nurse at Wyandotte Hospital, has a little boy and a fantastic husband.
Life has been good to me,a few bumps in the road and some heartaches and heartbreaks in 1969 and 1970 but all in all it's been great.
My family is my life.
Since seeing all of u probably the craziest thing I've done is get a "tattoo". YES. a tattoo on my ankle. We went to Hawaii for 3 weeks last year and after 3 Mai Tai's decided to get a little crazy with my good friend Kriste. But then again, I was always a little crazy in school. Going back to Hawaii in 2010 with our buddies Joe & Kriste and we plan on getting another Tat on our ankles. I feel like I made my statement.....I ain't over the hill yet!
