Mary's Story

Life as it is today: I have eight grown children and numerous grandchildren and I am married to my high school sweetheart, David Thomas Killough. We got married in November or 2011. I was a school teacher (all grades regular and special ed.) until I retired in 2010. My interests include Bible study, writing, farming, quilting, weaving, and music (guitar, keyboard,etc.). One of my retirement activities has been teaching extension classes from Texas Bible College. I recently finished two years teaching/missions work in a remote native village in Alaska. Three of my kids and their families and I moved to central Texas and they built a retirement cabin for me...Expand for more
. They also live on our 30 acre family farm. We are in a project to improve the water table and the soil by removing invasive plants and replacing them with native trees and grasses. I love to get up early and watch the sun rise while I drink my coffee on my porch, thanking the Lord for His marvelous and tender mercies. I am very involved with my family and friends and my church (Pentecostal/Apostolic). Several of my grandchildren are prolific Bible Quizzers! (They know and understand hundreds of scriptures.) Well, that's about it for now. If you are reading this, may the Lord bless you and lead you into all His truth and keep you in His perfect will. Amen
