Mary Catherine's Story
I lived with my grandmother and attended Wynnewood schools from 1st-4th grade, then 7th grade, 1/2 of 8th grade, 9th grade, then sadly had to move permanently to OKC where I graduated from NW Classen. Granny, my brother, Mark and I still spent every summer in Wynnewood even after 9th grade. The old home place is gone now, but I still visit Wynnewood frequently and take flowers to the family graves at the cemetery. d always will, feel like home to me. Maybe I'll even move back some day if I ever get to retire. I am a RN and a Practical Nursing instructor.
I also would like to use this public forum to thank all my teachers at Wynnewood Public schools for the excellent education I was given. I'm sure they have all passed now, but I have come to appreciate them more and more as the years have passed. So thank you Mrs. Schaeffer, Mrs, Nowlin, Mrs. Rollow, and Mrs. Litchfield. You were the best!
