Mary's Story
Hi Everyone;
It has been a lifetime almost. Married and divorced a few times but now have my head together better than when you knew me. Got my BA in Social Science and am trying to get my Master's right now in Education/online. Both parents are gone and there are no children in my life. Life has been good to me. Worked for most of my life, starting out in Dad's supermarket, and later joined the USA army. After six years there and experience in Desert Storm, came home to be with family. Worked for the Federal Government for a few years as a Red meat inspector in slaughterhouses. Had enough of that in about 5 1/2 years and started back in school. Moved to Miss. where I was stationed in the army and lived there after Dad died for about 5 more years. Came home and took care of Mom who died of Alz...Expand for more
heimer's disease.
I love California. My parents are from here so this is really home, but have lived outside of Ca about 20 years all together. I had to fly to many countries during the war, and Dad took me to the British Isles in 1979. Gained about 40 pounds after the war and have only taken off about 30, but still going down. I smoke and drink in moderation.
I remember the old days and all my wonderful friends at Del Oro and Lincoln Elementary. You guys are the greatest!!! My father went through a terribly disfunctional divorce and I had no choice but to leave with him to live in Sacramento.
Well, that is probably enough boring info. Glad to see all your names again. Sorry I missed the reunion but Mom was gravely ill and there was no way. Take care. I love my memories of all of you. Mary
