Mary's Story
I am enjoying retirement in Stow OH. I have three wonderful and adorable grandchildren who I babysit during the week. I am loving life!
I hope old friends remember me as someone who cared about them, which I did but may not have been very vocal about it.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right; I wish I had.
I ended up being an accountant. Life does take some strange twists and turns. I still want to be a teacher and could see myself teaching accounting on a part time basis once I semi retire.
I enjoy swimming my village pool. I also like to read and take in the sun!
I probably did more wild things in school that I don't remember, but others might!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good staff, good technology, and helpful peers to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
I lived in Perry Township most of my married life until my children were grown and I had the opportunity for a good job I was recruited for in Ashland Ohio. I moved here in 2001.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Diane S Carla M,and so many others because they were good childhood friends.
I love dogs. I have had several and currently do not have one due to work schedule. I don't watch much reality TV with the exception of music and talent shows. I am obsessed with reading.
Life does take on some strange turns. I always expected to stay married, but it did not turn out that way.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bathroom and add on a gardern tub. My dream home would be in a secluded area.
My children are adults and wonderful. I think we learn from each other.
I would love to see Mr. Oberlin, my Latin teacher. I admired him for his intelligence. He was very kind.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to church, then spend the rest on children, family and pay off mortgage.

o college after I was married, so I never lived in a dorm.
To be truly happy I would be closer to family and friends. I work too much to have any close friends, but do have some good friendships with my church family.
My current age is 54. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be close to dead. I was so completely WRONG.
I work way too hard. I am trying to stop that and enjoy life much more. I would love to teach at some point for a living once I am able to retire from my current job.
I believe my first crush is happily married and enjoying a self made career.
My best friend would tell you I'm over worked, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet.
I enjoy traditional or classic style. I wear suits to work and comfortable casual clothes, jeans, tee shirts, sweaters. I like traditional clothing style.
None of my jobs have been weird, just unexpected; all in accounting, most of them in public accounting firms and hospitals.
I share my home with me, myself and I, which I find sometimes lonely.
No big victories, but I hope to have a victory in Christ. I have a cross on my mantel to remind me of my hope for eternity.
I would like to have found a way to stay closer to family and friends and still have good employment and career without having to move. I would have also loved to have stayed married and enjoyed a loving relationship with someone.
In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by planning my monetary future.
The oldest friend I stay in contact with is Gail. I think we click because we have the same moral and religious beliefs and still are able to have fun. I miss her!
My first job was at a deli, where I got paid under the table to avoid the fact I was underage. What I remember most about it is getting my finger sliced in the meat slicer.
We went camping every summer and had numerous fun experiences which I will never forget.
