Mary's Story
Life
I married Mike Morse from Rembrandt in 1980. Our kids are Rebecca, 19, a sophmore at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Michael, 27, in Tennessee. We lived in San Diego and Washington State until Mike retired from the Navy in 1996 and we moved to Carroll, Iowa. We lost Mike to cancer in 2001. I'm now married to John Johnson from Big Rapids, MI, and living near Norfolk, NE. His sons are Ben, 25 and Alex, 21, both in Michiga...Expand for more
n. I work at Hy-Vee and John is the Zoning Administrator for Pierce and Madison Counties in Nebraska.
Military
My first husband, Mike, was in the Marines before we met and shortly after we were married joined the Navy. We spent 10 years in San Diego where he was stationed at NAS Miramar. From there he was transferred to NAS Whidbey Island, WA., for three years. His final duty station was aboard the USS Nimitz at PSNS Bremerton, WA., for three years.
