Mary's Story
Life
Married Eddie Jackson after high school. This has worked out really well!!! We have 7 children, all grown. One is unmarried. We have 20 grandchildren with 21 & 22 on their way. One of our daughters is having her 3rd set of twins. We love to travel visiting our grandchildren. They are spread over 6 states. I stayed home and raised the children. Had a huge garden, sewed their clothes, baked our bread, refinished all the woodwork, had goats & chickens at one time (really fun!), canned veggies, etc. No wonder I had "empty nest syndrome" badly. t will keep my mind occupied. Eddie worked as a policeman for over 30 years, ending with Chief of Police of Manteno. He now works for Kankakee County & City 911 services as head of personel. Our dream is to retire and spend all our time together. We love our class reunions and wonder when our next one will be. We had to miss the last one. My high school memories are vivid to me, more so than yesterday, unfortunately. I loved biology with what's his name as teacher. And English with Mr. Fortin! Loved going to dances, basketball games, etc. I would love to hear from old classmates.
