Mary Jane's Story
Hi my story is long and bumpy.
I lived and graduated from Thermopolis Wyoming. I went to college in Powell for two years got my AA and MRS degree the same month and moved to Washington State in 1978.
I married Rob Norskog who was fresh out of the military and moved to Powell to be near his parents.
Rob and I lived in Olympia for 4 years and Centalia for 24 years. Rob was a building contractor and died of a heart attack on the job in 1997.
We had three great kids Cassie(26), David(23, and Daniel(18) that is their ages now.
I went back to college in 2000 and got another two year degee in 02. I work many jobs. Some with the school systems and correction youth detentions. I have been active with prevention of abuse on children being a CASA for 5 years. Domestic Violence Volunteer for 10 years now. Teaching a Batters Class for the male offenders to reeducate them.
I moved back to Thermopolis 5years ago this summer. I worked at B...Expand for more
OCES and at the Counseling Center most of this time.
I work full time at the Counseling Center now working on grants and teaching the Batters Class.
I have been blessed to be near my parents and my children followed me to Thermopolis to keep our family strong.
My youngest is ready to graduate and I am scared and excited to start a new beginning with out children.
I always wanted to be a traveler when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were ok with how things turned out.
I love to be out side going places going to hear music at differnt festivials and concerts,
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Passport, car, and people to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Forrest Wood, because He was a good friend when I was in High School .
My best friend Noreen and her family took care of me and my goofy ways.
