I am amazed at the accomplishments of Misericordia graduates. We were and continue to be productive and vital members of the communities we live and work in. I moved to North Carolina in 1992 to allow my husband, who is from Izmir Turkey, to establish his own tailoring business. European individuals are trained from an early age to be entrepreneurial. He started being trained as a tailor at age 7, and now is quite successful. He certainly knows more people than I do as is evidenced when we go anyplace! I officially retired December 31, 2014 from the State of North Carolina as a Nurse Consultant, but two weeks later was offered a position with a national home care company and took it.
