Mary Lee's Story
My Life in a Nutshell: Live in Moberly, MO
Busy in my career: I am the Director of Health Information Mgt. Dept. at Moberly Regional Medical Center and have worked there since 1995(third return to MRMC). I also serve as adjunct evening instructor at Moberly Area Community College since 1995. I served as a board member on the MO-AHIMA (Missouri American Health Information Mgt. Assoc.)Board in 2005-2007.
Education: Associate Degree from MAJC/MACC;BS in Health Services Mgt. from MU; MBA in Business Administration from William Woods University and RHIT/RHIA from AHIMA in Chicago, IL.
Family: I am married to David K. Newberry (6 years) since Sept. 7th, 2002. My husband works at Associated Electric Power Plant-Thomas Hill Division.
Pets: Lots! Lots of Cats...Expand for more
and Dogs to keep us company.
Future Goals: By age 50 jump out of small planes! Ride motorcycles in the near future! Cruised to the Western Caribbean and definately (plan in the near future)to go back to Jamaica and Cancun!
Immediate Family: My parents have both passed on. Dad in Feb.,1992 and Mom in Feb. 2008. It's sad to lose a loved one, especially those we tend to take for granted and expect to always be there -then one day we are alone and depending on ourselves. Life is just too short so you enjoy those you love day by day.
Brothers:
- Jim Harlan (Moberly) teaches at the University of MO-Columbia in the Geography Dept. and working towards his PHd at MU.
- Roger Harlan (Sturgeon) still loves hunting, watching sports and a good home cooked meal!
