Mary's Story
Life
After LHS graduation in 1974 I attended Texas Womans' University and obtained a degree in Nursing. Since that time I have worked in various hospital settings with children. I went back to UTA while working at Parkland Hospital and received a MSN and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification. In 1989 I started working with HIV infected children as a Pediatric Nurse Practitoner at Children's Medical Center of Dallas I am still there and I love what I do!!

fit groups in Dallas but mostly in HIV/AIDS organizations. I am also active in Northaven United Methodist Church. 5 years ago I started playing my saxophone in the church orchestra. It was hard to believe that I could still play after 25 years but I love it. The greatest thing that has happened during the past 30 years is the adoption of my daughter Grace from China in 1998. She is a beautiful, fun, loving child and she brings such joy into our home.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.
