How do you sum it all up?... Growing up, I loved animals. I had cats, dogs, fish, mice, hamsters... I always wanted to be a veterinarian. In reality though, I knew I didn't want to spend ten years(or more) in college. I had made plans to attend a college in Orlando for dental technology(my 2nd choice), but that all changed too. After graduation, I moved back to Michigan(my home state) where my dad and older siblings lived. I went to college in Traverse City and earned an AAS degree in Data Processing (of all things!). The future was in computers, and we thought this would be a great career choice. As it tuns out, I got a job at the bank where I did my internship. It wasn't as a programmer though, it was as a teller! Okay, I wasn't very driven! I enjoyed the next few years living in beautiful Traverse City on the shores of Lake Michigan, supporting myself at the bank. At 24, I met my future husband. Joel is a guitar player, singer, and a pilot. We were married within a year. He has a degree in Avionics Technology. His job as an avionics sales rep moved us out to Washington state in Jan. of '86.
