Mary's Story
My Life so far...
Attended S.I.U. Carbondale after DHS.
After attending SIU, I became a stewardess/flight attendant for Northwest Airlines. I quit when the airlines decided that you could not be married and fly. Imagine that!
I have been married to my college sweetheart, Jim Hart, for almost 44 years. We have lived in St. Louis,MO, Washington, D.C., Carbondale,IL back to St. Louis, and now reside in Naples, FL, for the past 9 years.
I have owned my own businesses, been a rape crisis counselor, a coordinator of volunteer services for a major municipality, cookbook author, in addition to volunteering for numerous organizations throughout
my adult life. I am also a pretty great grandmother!
We have 3 children; a 32 year old daughter, boy and girl twins, soon to be 42 yrs. old, which is amazing since I am only 45 myself.

o say that we had a child every 10 years, whether we needed one or not. Now we have dogs.
It's much easier having dogs than children.
We have 7 grandchildren, ages 1 1/2 years to 12 years old. We like our G'kids much more than our actual children.
I sound like I don't like my kids. Not true!
My husband Jim has been retired for many years. His different "lives" have included being an NFL quarterback for 19 years, radio announcer for the Chicago Bears for 5 years, Director of Athletics at SIU for 12 years, restaurant owner (currently), and other endeavors in St. Louis
Jim's "real" job is playing golf now. We enjoy traveling to various tournaments around the country, although it is hard to find a place to visit as great as Naples, FL!
