Mary's Story
I have been blessed with a wonderful family. Been married for 47years. Have one son and one daughter. We live out in the country which we love. Played church ball and my sisters team till I was 40 ish. Had lots of family get togethers with singing mostly gospel music and most played instruments, which I never did. laugh out loud. We love camping, fishing, cooking. Guess that’s where Home Ec came in handy. Have lots of great memories at Daniel. Miss all my friends and hope we get to see each other soon. I’m also a retired nurse. My husband Larry served six yrs in the Vietnam war aboard the USS San Diego,he was a gunner. Also retired from Duke Energy after 30 yrs. Our son Jamie teaches welding at Tri Cty Tec. He did bull riding and team roping., he was also a surveyer. Our daughter Casey is a nurse. She loves traveling ,trout & fishing...Expand for more
.She spent 3 weeks out west. She also does a lot of hiking. We use to travel a lot till my husband got sick. I love reading especially Nicholas Sparks and Pat Conroy’s books.,his wife has some good books too. We miss our families during this pandemic but we try to keep in touch with each other. My Mom and Dad had ten children. Six girls and four boys. How they raised us it’s hard to comprehend. But they never complained. I like to listen to all of George Strait music but I still like the blues. Our son was in a band & can sing great. Must have got that from my Mom & Dad. I’m really hook on Yellow Stone & anything that has Kevin Costner in it. Which is a lot. Guess you won’t see my husband in a lot of pictures is because he hates having his made. MEN......Lots of pictures of my family because we are so close and I’m so proud of my family.
