Life I have one sister and one brother still living. My brother, Larry Place, died in 1996 and my sister, Barbara Lois Place, passed away May 6, 2019. I have been married twice. The first marriage lasted 27 years. We had 2 children, one of whom died at one day old. My son just turned 40 years old. I have been married this time for almost 13 years. We have a yellow lab mix named Rita. She is quite a character!! She thinks she is our child. We moved from Indiana to Texas to stay on September 1, 2003. We love it here. I live near my grandmother's brother, Andrew Jackson Scogin. He will be 102 on October 19, 2005. He does the dishes after every meal and still does his own yardwork, including weedeating. Since writing about my father's Uncle Andrew, he passed away the day after his 105th birthday in a Tyler TX hospital. My real passion is genealogy.
