Mary's Story

Life Moved my junior year from Westport in KC to Lawson, MO - big change from being a city kid to living on a farm! Went to Wyoming in 1968 to marry my highschool sweetheart, but didn't - stayed anyway, though. Moved to Denver, CO 12 years (one husband, and three kids) later, and went to work at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Ended up as an editor for an international child abuse journal. Moved my home (including husband and cats) and office from CO to Yale University in CT. My children are still in the west - two boys in Cheyenne, Wyoming, both married, one...Expand for more
with children; my daughter (also married - no kids) in El Paso, TX. My husband recently passed away after a lengthy illness; I'm retired now and have just relocated to a very small town in MT (Conrad); looking forward to becoming part of the community. Update: Have been living on a farm 30 miles from Conrad now since July 2010 - and it's home. I love the area, love the state, and hope to eventually relocate to the northwest corner of Montana in the mountains. No plans to remarry - enjoy a wonderful family of friends, and keep very busy with them. And life is very, very good.
