Mary's Story
UPDATE
Well, the situation described below was TOO easy. I finally got around to opening my own Foster Care Agency;
"Muffin's Place", named for one of our foster daughters who passed away suddenly 2 years ago. I received a contract with the State of Texas and opened the first homes in June. We have 3 homes open with 7 children in care and 12 more homes in process. What's retirement??? Stay tuned.
Workplace
Well, I took the plunge. I left my job in January and in April began my own consulting and mediation business; Forrester Consul...Expand for more
ting and Mediation. I never realized how many thngs I could get paid to do! During the first 2 weeks I signed 3 contracts and they just keep coming. In 4 months I increased my monthly income by 20% and I'm now negotiating a contract that will make more in 6 months that I made in a year. Why did I wait so long? It's always frightening to step out there on your own but I'm having a blast. I just go in and do what I do and go home without the hassles. More time off and more time for family and grandkids and more money. Life is great!
