Mary's Story
Well after high school, I moved to Boston, MA, and wworked in a home for handicapped children for 5 years. Returned to Oak Forest and began working at my Dad's Bank in Orland Park as Customer Service Rep. opening and closing acct. ect. worked there for 5 years, I found a job Downtown in the Insurance Field still customer Service Just over the phone, but more money. It was really the first time I had really spent time downton and I had a blast. Made great friends I count among my best friends today. Then I married briefly Kurt Wagner, enough about that. Then I met Mark Kralik our first date was on his 30th birthday. We went to Laramie and Oak Forest together and never knew each other, but it was Love, we married the following January 1994. I left my downtown job for yet more money and went to Oak Brook another Insurance company. I had my first child Allison Olivia now 16, then came Joshua now 14, time to stay home with the kids. In our new home on Chaucer in Oak Forest we were there 5 years along came Lillian Elizabeth Molly now 11. Then we up and decided to move to North Carolina Carolina Beach specifically. For those who know my family my little brother Paully, passed away in Oct. 2008 due to complications of diabetes. I miss him until it aches. I loved him soooo much. He was 40 years old.
I try not to think to much about my school years. They were not the best years of my life, but I would say to anyone who thinks they can't make it through the best years are still ahead of you.
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.
The best place in the world is 5 mins. from my house THE BEACH who would know I'm a beach bum. We spend almost everyday at the beach, it's quite magnificent.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the patio and add on a screened in sunroom. My dream home would be on the water.
What I've learned from my children is love is precious and unconditional.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10 million of it to Diabetes Foundation, then spend the rest on Family, Friends and Travel.
My current age is 47. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
I share my home with 2 dogs Allydog a teacup poodle & Trixie a chihauha, which I find delightful.
