Mary's Story
I started to JHS in 1957, after graduating from Weaver Jr. High; I graduated from JHS in 1960. I married on October 8, 1960, to Bob Butler, who also graduated from Weaver in 1955, then went on to Alexandria HS. I grew up in the, military, married a military man, and had a son who served in the military, also. After traveling aroud the country, and Germany, Bob retired in 1976, after 22 years in the Navy and Army, as a Sergeant First Class. He served two tours in VN.

uddenly with a heart attack at the young age of 54. We have a son and two daughters. My eldest daughter passed away in 2010 with cancer. I have 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. I live in Etowah County, AL, now, and love watching these grandchilren grow!
I'm into Genealogy and have been researching my Walker lineage as well as helping to complete my Mom's family, the "Aderholt's", over the past 30 years. I also do scrapbooking and paint, (mostly landscapes). I enjoy writing poetry and have had two published.
