Mary's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my husband, Ray, at the Kingdome. He was the Event Director there and I sold novelties and souvenirs. He walked up to my booth one day and we started talking and married 3 years later. We enjoyed 18 1/2 years of marriage before Ray died of gastric cancer in June 2009.
My Pets
We have a tan tabby (appropriately) named Willow. And a Shiba Inu (a cat-like-personalied dog) named Butch, named after the WSU Cougar mascot (hey, when you look like a miniature Husky you have to have a redeeming quality!) He makes me laugh when even smiling is difficult. So he is definitely a blessing.

They are my step-sons, Thom,a mechanical engineer, who currently lives with his wife and two children in Qatar. Dennis,(Dr. Eldridge) a physical therapist, who lives with his wife and three children in Enumclaw, WA.
My Job
I am one of three managers who run the Company Store for Alaska Airlines. I've been with Alaska for 15 years and at this current position for 5. I job-share, which means I work Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday and my job-share partner works the opposite. I love my schedule. I recently left my job with the Mariners' Concessionaire after 26 seasons. I don't miss it one bit!
