Although my life path hasn't been straight I believe in my heart that I am the person that I am meant to be because of the detours that I have taken. I am one of the most stubborn people that will ever be seen on the planet. After graduating high school I attended the University of Minnesota Morris campus majoring in biology and premedicine. However, due to family drama and other reasons had to come home. So I decided that I was going to go to paramedic school since that was always something that I was interested in anyway. I made it almost all the way through and then 9-11 happened and it scared me too much. Also I was starting to have some health problems with my asthma getting out of control so I decided that I was going to put that on the back burner for a little while- After all I could always go back if I wanted. A couple of months later I started nursing school and graduated with a 3.9 GPA in May 2002. That summer it was found out that I had a super infection and I had to have 3 surgeries and 2 blood transfusions.
