Marybeth's Story
Life
I graduated from Meigs High School in 1988. I then decided to move to Washington, DC for awhile. I worked there for a law firm. I moved back to the area after about a year. I am married to my "soul" mate, Vaughan. We had been friends for around 8 yrs. before starting to date on New Years Day 1993. We got married on May 15th, 1993 and had our beautiful daughter on Sept.6, 1996. We have a house behind my mom (my dad passed away in 1999.) My sister and brother in law live next door. My husband is an engineer for AEP and I am a happy stay at home mom. We enjoy traveling and actually do alot of it. We are determined to show Bre everything we can. We take her everywhere we go and love thinking of different destinations for the next BIG vacation. We LOVE Mexico and want to buy a home there. Jamaica is nice, too. This year we are trying something new with Canada( I'm sure I'll miss the sand, water, snorkeling and best of all sun). This is Bre and Vaughan's BIG fishing adventure trip thoug...Expand for more
h. Next year they get to take me to Belize. We enjoy football and are huge Nascar fans. We go to as many races as possible and hit Talladega hard last year. We have alot of outdoor cook-outs and parties and basically just enjoy friends and family. We lost my brother unexpectedly in 2001 and my motto for life after that is, "just keep living!" We only have one life and I'm making the best of it! Bre is a "flyer" in her cheer group. We love it and have been to Columbus for competitions! Being small is about the only thing she inherited from me...HAHA! She is the splitting image of her father and is very outgoing and smart. She has no fear which kind of scares me. My mom is doing well and never sits still. She is constantly on the go and loves Vegas and gambling. She has been to Mexico and Jamaica with us. We hope to visit my nephews in Los Angeles this summer... ( I may never come back)! All in all life has been very good to us. I'm very thankful for everything and everyone in my life.
