Life May 2008 Update: So BIG apologies for falling off the face of the planet for 3 years. Obviously, there was not a 15th year reunion, but I'm encouraged by the email I have received lately in regards to a get together. Our 20th (HOW CAN THAT BE?) will be in 2012, but maybe we can all plan something low key and casual before then. Karen Roche just started a page over at Facebook for our class, and I think that's an excellent place for all of us to gather, catch up and start planning, as I know not a lot of people have Classmates accounts...or the upgraded accounts that let you access info. Facebook is free to join so I hope you look me up over there by my married name. Please friend me...I'd love to catch up. I'm also over at MySpace. On a personal note: Eric and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in June 2007 and with us to celebrate, I'm proud to say was our son, Christopher Joseph who was born in July 2006 after 4 years of struggling with infertilty. He is the light of our lives and I love every single day I spend with him and can't imagine or remember what life was like without him in ours. Now we are discussing adding a sibling to our family next year, so I'll keep you posted! I still work for the Antiquarian Society, though mostly from home now, working on historical research projects and teaching a program here and there. I'm still plugging away at Harvard, taking a class here and there, when time and money allow. We moved last year to Bridgewater, MA. Not too far from where we've been living. We still get back to CT on a fairly regular basis and would love to hang out with anyone! Keep in touch! 2005 Update: Wow, I haven't been here for ages. Thought it was time for an update. Okay Classmates says that 28 people have checked on me...Who are you? Where are you? Feel free to drop me a note to say "Hi"! Why are you hiding? After 4 1/2 wonderful years of running the antique malls (see 2002 Update below), I decided it was time for a change. Although I loved the work, I could no longer stand the schedule that running a retail environment requires. Read: I wanted my weekends and holidays back! I have landed a wonderful job with The Plymouth (Mass.) Antiquarian Society--which is Plymouth's historical society--as an historian, docent, and musuem educator. It's a wonderful position in which I get to wear many hats, as well as teaching children again, which I really missed. Living in the land of the Pilgrims offers A LOT of great oppurtunities for someone who loves history as much as I do, and I'm amazed at the access I have to some of our country's greatest and most profound artifacts and documents. In the same vain, I decided go back to school in 2004 to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in History. I am very lucky to have qualified for an adult honor's degree program at Harvard University through their Extension School. I still can't believe that I'm going to Harvard (who would have thunk it--I was a good student at THS but not THAT good!). I'm still waiting for someone to approach me in the "Yaaaaard" and tell me that I need to leave. Until then, I'm soaking up all the knowledge I can! As of this June 21st, Eric and I will have been married for 8 years. Amazing! I was so glad that so many of you were able to meet him at our reunion a few years ago. We had a blast! (If there's any interest in a 15 year reunion in 2007, please let me know and I will see what we can come up with.)
